Who we are...
We've been here.
We were once approaching The Lofty Magazine Editors with trembling knees and a sweaty file of printed pages.
We’ve sat in front of computer screens, staring at yet another rejection email, wondering just how to break that mythical barrier separating us wannabe writers from The Greats in the magazine offices and publishing houses.
(Fun fact: In 2016, we attended the JWWS together, and met our Mishpacha editors there for the first time.)
We've been here too.
Years of working on the craft, attending courses and classes, honing techniques, and receiving critique from each other and a circle of writer friends and editors, have gotten us to bylines and beyond.
We've been privileged to publish hundreds of articles across a range of genres (fiction, feature, interview, essay, stories, poetry), in a host of different magazines and publications. Oh, and we've got 6 books between us as well :)

Rochel Samet is a writer and writing coach whose fiction stories and serials appear in magazines worldwide. She's the writer of Mishpacha's "Double Take" column and author of 4 books to date.
Rivka Streicher is a writer for Mishpacha magazine for 10+ years. She's taught English and creative writing at post-high school level, is a writing coach, and author of a novel and the newly-released short story collection 'On Paper'.
